Products and Services : Market Towns Initiative Projects Database
Background Over 220 towns have gone through the Healthcheck process and written Action Plans in a pilot project initiated by the Countryside Agency. In partnership with East Midlands Development Agency, Action for Market Towns has launched the country's first MTI Projects Database in the MTI Section on its regional web site www.emtowns.org.uk
The Project Containing over 670 projects from around 40 towns in the East Midlands, Action for Market Towns (in partnership with emda), has launched a new database allowing you to search for actual projects market towns in this region have detailed in their action plans. You can search for projects by town, SSP (county), population, main category (social, economic, etc), subcategory (green spaces, education, etc), or key word. Furthermore, once you find the project you are most interested in, you can access the action plans or healthchecks from the towns displayed in the results and then find a contact in that town to speak to. Visit the MTI section on emtowns and click on the button on the top right... or click straight in to the MTI database here... If you are a town project manager, you can now find all your counterparts trying to implement the same project and share best practice. If you represent a funding agency, you can find all projects that fit in to your criteria, making your organisation more proactive. You may be a district or town council wishing to refresh your memory on what is being attempted in the town(s) you represent. Either way, with over 670 projects from around 40 towns in the East Midlands, this should give you a clear indication of what is going on.
The Future Other Regional Development Agencies and Regional bodies are invited to become involved in a similar project in their region.
